<p>When performing an LS engine swap into classic muscle cars and trucks, the use of an aftermarket, steel oil pan usually provides better, cross member, component and ground clearance than GM's factory, cast aluminum pan. The only hurdle with this swap is that GM integrated the oil filter mounting flange and passage ways into the factory cast pan. Remove the factory LS pan, and you lose a place to spin-on your oil filter.</p><p>This LS swap specific oil pan and filter relocation system combo kit eliminates this hurdle by including both a rear sump oil pan that clears the vehicle's cross member, and a complete oil filter relocation system that allows you to relocate the oil filter from the factory LS pan to the firewall, fenderwell or other easy to reach location on the vehicle.</p><p>The compact, 5 qt., RED Painted pan in this kit has two integrated -10AN fittings that you attach the 90 degree hose fittings to, then plumb the oil lines to the remote mount, cast aluminum filter base. The kit includes a special oil pump pickup tube designed specifically for the oil pan, a complete oil pan gasket set and mounting bolts.</p><p>The remote base is a single filter unit that has vertical ports, and it includes 30" hoses, 4 hose fittings and filter nipple. This kit is ideal if space around the remote base is limited. The only thing not included is a standard PH8A (Fram #), or equivalent, oil filter.</p>
