Hedman's unique, gasketless ball and socket collector design allows your Small Block Chevy exhaust system to bolt up, even if it is not perfectly aligned with the header collectors.</p><p>These uncoated, MID-LENGTH TUBE headers are designed specifically for use on on a Small Block Chevy 283-400 (Gen 1) fitted with D-PORT shaped heads (GM's ZZ heads have D-shaped ports) into 1982-2004 Chevy S10/Blazer, GMC S15/Jimmy 2WD trucks. Fits both manual and automatic transmission trucks. The smooth 1-1/2 in. tube design provides ample exhaust flow to let your transplanted 283-400 SB Chevy engine with D-Port Heads breathe easy, and produce additional horsepower and torque over factory manifolds.</p><p>To ensure a proper installation, it is recommended that these headers be installed with Trans-Dapt Performance Product's #9906 engine swap mount kit.</p><p>These headers are uncoated, and ship from the factory with a temporary black paint that will burn off when submitted to normal operating temperatures. For protection against the element and lower underhood temperatures, these headers are also available with a silver or black ceramic-metallic finish.</p><p>Each set includes a pair of gaskets, header flange bolts and collector bolts.
